Headset is acting up!

Hello everyone, I have a Sennheiser G4ME PC 360 headset. For someone reason the mic isn't working properly. Whatever sound in coming out of my headset, that is was the mic is outputting. Even when the mic is in the mute position, it's still will pick up whatever I'm currently watching on my computer. I don't know what the issue could be. It was working fine months ago. I haven't had to use the microphone option in a while but today I decided to use it and it's not working correctly. I googled what it could be and I haven't found a fix. I also tightened the mic but I don't see how that would've harmed it or caused it to do this. Please if anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to ask any question or provide me with any information that might help. Thanks in advance!

Bump, I could really use some help with this. Did I possibly post this in the wrong section?
