hey guys so i have this asus rog gl553vd laptop and i want to upgrade the ram, i will be buying 2 sticks so i need help with what ram should i buy

What do you have right now?

You don't need to buy 2 sticks.

If the one right now is only 1 stick, you can just buy another stick.

What's the specs of the current ones?

the most you can run is 2400MHz since the CPU is 7th gen (correct me if I'm wrong, that's what the search engine led me to) Intel. You can buy 2x8gb 2400MHz SODIMM kit, but adding another 8gb 2133 stick is probably cheaper.

You can just get the same 8gb ddr4 2400mhz.

Any brand will do. It's better If you can find the exact stick, if not no problem.

Anything, doesnt matter if you mix brands when frequency is this low and you can't overclock. Just make sure it's SODIMM and non-REG (UDIMM, not RDIMM)
