Fan arrangement help

Go to solution Solved by IHFyrz2812,

yes it is ok

Hi,

I am building a PC using a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X D-RGB Tempered Glass ATX Case (https://www.pccasegear.com/products/43608/phanteks-enthoo-evolv-x-d-rgb-tempered-glass-atx-anthracite-grey) and had a question on fan configuration.

I am currently using a Corsair iCUE H115i Elite Capellix 280mm ARGB AIO Cooler (Dual 140mm fans) and am placing it as the top exhaust. The case comes with 3 fans, but with RGB lighting on the radiator, I would rather not have the boring fans on the rear exhaust, and I cant afford to buy another $50AUD fan to put there.

I am wondering if it is a good idea putting the 3 included non-RGB fans on the front intake and the radiator on the top exhaust, leaving the rear exhaust without the fan? This way I have positive air pressure in the case and the non-RGB fans less visible, however leaving the rear exhaust without a fan seems like a bad idea.

Will the 280mm radiator on top exhaust give me adequate cooling without a rear exhaust fan? Is this a good idea? This is my first PC build so I would like to try and do it properly.

Thanks.
