I'll try to be short. My background keeps going black, I've used different gpus, from both amd and nvidia and I've even built an entirely different PC and somehow this problem follows me. It comes back to normal every so often and doesn't really cause any errors but I really enjoy my background, so, it's annoying. Any ideas?

I personally downloaded a background and click "set background" in File Explorer and that fixed it for me.

Big nerd.

Not sure I understand. I have a background set, at times I'll highlight my desktop and it shows the picture I set under the highlight.

EDIT: Not trying to be smart but, having to repeatedly set a background doesn't solve the problem for me.

Not trying to be arrogant, but there are couple of options when googling something like - windows10 desktop background turns black

There are quite long descriptions on what to do.

I thought of this, read my post because I've tried multiple things.

In the Settings application under Ease of Access :: More Options is "Show Windows Background" turned on?

If disabled the screen indeed is black, tried myself.

Maybe something triggers it to disable the background picture?

EDIT: It glitches, like I said above the picture is there it's just not being processed by the rig somehow. *shrugs*

EDIT 2: Just a heads up, restarting Windows Explorer fixed it. Not sure if there's a permanent solution to this but it's better than nothing. Thanks all for your replies.
