Hi,

The Kolink Void case is a nice looking cheap, small ATX case with dreadful documentation that at least one other poster has had fun with.

This is just a quick explanation of the built in ARGB lights.

There is a SATA power connector in the loom from the front case panel.  With this connected, you should have LEDs and if you connected the rear case fan to the inline socket in this loom, a working fan with lights.

The button labelled "LED" will then cycle through a number of built in programs.

I ended up getting a Z-Sync controller to give some software control over the lights. As the motherboard I put in it doesn't natively support ARGB, just 12v RGB.

The controller works fine but the Zalman software for it is highly limited when using it with the Void case.

Even with the Z-Sync, you need to leave the SATA power connected as the ARGB header only has Data and Ground connected.

For reference, the Void "V" case has 21 LED's in the V and the supplied fan has 16 LED's, both of these are wired in parallel which makes some of the patterns not behave as you would like.

I'm sure with a little hacking I could separate these to be independent but this case was bought for my son (13) and I'm leaving this sort of thing as a learning experience for him should he want to.  The Z-Sync says that it's Razer Chroma compatible but I couldn't get Chroma to see it.

The case overall is okay for the price but the documentation is awful and there are no details of the various cables for the front panel or lights.

Hope this helps someone.

Gavin
