So i think my pc got a sata controller failure, everytime i plug any hard drive into it. It wont work, fans spinning but no video output at all. After unplugging every sata it work again, it post and i can get into the bios. I want to update the bios hoping it will fix the problem. But on the website it says "asrock does not recommend update bios if pinnacle, raven ridge, or summit ridge is being used on your system" So what will happen if i update the bios, does updating bios will make it completely unusabre because doesnt support my cpu anymore?

mobo : asrock b450m hdv rev4

bios ver : 3.70

cpu : ryzen 3 3100

Consider a basic CMOS reset before you resort to BIOS update. It happens to my B450 board as well and a basic reset fixes it.

Damn. Anyway, i forgot to add this to the original posts:

You should not worry about it for your CPU though. The ridges respectively are for the following CPU series: Ryzen 2000 Series, Ryzen 2000G series, and Ryzen 1000 series.
