Headphones Which One

Go to solution Solved by Dragonzeanse,

If you're willing to shop on eBay, here are a few good recommendations for headphones.

  • Creative Aurvana Live!
  • Sony MDR-V6
  • Audio-Technica ATH-AD900(x)
  • Sennheiser HD 518
  • Shure SRH440 (not sure about this one for gaming)

I found these on Mwave.com.au. They're the earlier version of the ATH-AD700x and supposedly have better build quality. Performance is about the same. Besides shipping, they fall perfectly in your price bracket. Probably the best headphones for gaming you can get on your budget. Might be a bit uncomfortable, but the AD900xes and AD700xes are used by a lot of people on these forums.

I am playing on buying my first pair of headphones and i dont know which one to get so i would prefer a few suggestions

Also what is the difference between stero , 5.1 and 7.1 in headphones

My budget is $150 and i live in australia

difference between stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 = none

they are all just stereo headphones and the "5.1 and 7.1" headphones are just virtual surround stuff added on top, which you add yourself to "regular" stereo headphones anyway.

"5.1 and 7.1" headphones tend to be crap so just go for regular stereo headphones. Also, if you want good sound quality then do not go for ANY headsets. 99% of headsets are junk, and of the 1% who are pretty good they still end up being a crappy value for the money because they cost 100$ more than their counterpart with no microphone.

Please tell me if you want closed or open headphones, and if you need a mic or not.

Is the logitech g430 any good i like the looks of it

I found it for $80

I don't recommend headsets. Pick a good pair of headphones and a decent microphone separately if you can. If getting quality headphones are a problem due to availability and whatnot, a headset might be fine.
