New to Steam

i am new to the steam community and i am really not sure what is going on..  help me out!! and oh its kind of annoying the way it keeps losing internet connection when downloading some DLC.. arent there alternative ways of getting these downloads? (eg Black ops 2 zombie mode DLC's)

Try Changing your download region

 

steam > Settings > Downloads + Cloud > Download Region

 

 

i have the same problem and this sometimes work for me

No One Puts A Real Name said what i would have suggested first.

 

Also just take your time and look around. It is fairly straight forward and if you need anything specific just ask.
