Why 4266 ram?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

3800x, just a minor upgrade over 3700x, and why would you need an x570 board for that, just get a b550 and save some cash, 4266 memory is more then over the top, go with 3600

Don’t take everything I say seriously

take it with a grain of s a l t

I am assuming that you are waiting for RTX 30 series to come down in price? The PSU is fine for now put when you upgrade your GPU you will need a new PSU.

the 3800 wasnt any cheaper than the 3700 it seems. same with ram. as for x570 seemed like a better choice for upgrading in my future.

This is some way better ram my friend https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B0143UM4TC/

Decent chance your motherboard won’t even be able to run it at 4266. Even if it did it compared to 3600 mhz it would not be noticable.

Much better CPU, RAM is a usable speed and latency, PSU can be used in a GPU upgrade later, and $60 cheaper.

While I use LPX on a 5800x, LPX is for sure hit or miss on Ryzen.

Edit: Grabbed wrong PSU

ok well, b550 is kinda like x570 just only one m.2 slot is pcie gen 4, usually, and it just might not be as feature rich, stuff like, 10gb lan, water blocks, multiple m.2 slots, that sorta thing

Realistically AM4 is already end of life no matter which motherboard you buy. There is literaly no benefit (that I know of) with x570 unless you are going to have multiple gen 4 nvme drives.

i get that but the drive i listed was just for the OS and to get the system running. i will want to add other nvme drvies. which is why i might prefer to go x570 so i can toss more into it vs getting a b550 and still needing to plug other drives into it when i wanna upgrade. seems like a backwards move for similar money.

Unless you're doing something that will actually fully populate PCIE 4.0, the motherboard you had in your build supports the same number of M.2 as the motherboard Downkey and I put in the build.

thx for the help guys. ill look into the 3700,b550, team vulcan memory and the kingston m.2 drive!

i havent ever used kingston or team vulcan, might have to give those a try!

ok so yall got me more interested in these vs the 570 and the 3800
so far im leaning towards these as i have used these brands before. but with how cheap that team vulcan ram is i could just get new ones if it craps out haha.
