Recently my parents told me I have a budget of $1500 USD before tax to spend buying a new computer.  I have now been researching for about four days now and think I have a pretty good list of compatible parts, Figured here would be a good place to check and maybe do some final swaps in my selection. Since the 5600x is way over MSRP, I'd recommend the 11600K and a MSI Z590 A Pro. Other than that, looks good. Although I'd really recommend going used for the graphics card because that is 3x the regular price.

Big nerd.

i wouldnt buy this build personally

case: it's ok, a bit expensive for this kind of build but it's a good case

fans: not needed, i would think

CPU: spending a bit much on it, how about a 3600/10400f? lower IPC but it's still great

cooler: if you go 3600/10400f, use the stock cooler, save some cash for other parts

mobo: do you need x570? there are cheaper alternatives

RAM: sure, i would grab 32gb personally, but 16gb is fine

SSD: sure

GPU: remember all the money you saved? dump it here, majority of the games are GPU dependent, so better GPU = more fps

though GPU pricing is screwy right now, i wouldnt recommend buying a GPU for gaming today unless you can nab one at MSRP

PSU: no comment because im not familiar with PSUs

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Put a back order for this GPU, if not then honestly get a cheap used GPU like a 1060 or rx 570 for 200 - 300 and then when prices come back to normal get a 3060ti

geometry is hard
b550 > x570
