Issues with Benchmarks

Hey all,

Been a while, seeing as my rig has been performing brilliantly. But recently I've been running into an issue, and I can't figure it out myself.

So I have a MSI 780TI Gaming OC Edition running at out-of-the-box speeds. Did not overclock any part in my system thusfar, as I'm quite a scaredy-cat when it comes to OC-ing anything without water cooling. 

Aside from that GPU I'm currently using: (The good stuff is currently in a different rig, seeing as this runs everything at 1080p @ 60 FPS)

- i5-4430 Processor @ 3.0 GHz
- 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws @ 1333MHz
- 128 GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
- Asus Z87K Motherboard
- Corsair AX750W Pro 80+ Gold PSU

Now here's the issue. Every benchmark and game works fine, except for 2. Those being Firestrike Extreme and Metro Last Light. Both of these cause my GPU to drop to 15-ish% load before dropping to 1 FPS and 0% load. After this happens, I need to reboot the entire system for it to run normal again. 

I've checked the power levels by hooking up a 2nd monitor, and it comes nowhere near the 80% of the 750W required. It's more around 350-400W at peak times. I've ran with a 1000W PSU and same issues. Changed the power cables, motherboard, RAM and processor and still the same. Tried a friends Reference EVGA 780 and same problem. 

Tried reinstalling Windows 8 with just the benchmarks on it. Reinstalled drivers, reinstalled the benchmarks and even tried installing Windows 8 on a old 3TB Data drive. Same thing persists. 

Games itself work flawlessly, No stutter, no sudden drops, everything at 1080p works just fine with maxed out settings, where the system power consumption often stays above the 350W for extended periods of time. 

So while the overall performance is perfect, I get really nitpicky about this and would really like to know where the hell the issues lies. My OCD is kicking in and I NEED it fixed before it can calm down in my head.

Any help is appreciated.
