What cable should i use ?

I have a Samsung (lc24rg50fqmxzn), 144hz, 4ms , free sync compatible  and a Nvidia GTX 1660 TI 6G . Currently  they are connected via the cable that came with the monitor . My question is, should i switch to a DP cable? and if so what version to use, since in the monitor settings it says in the DisplayPort version 1.2 with an arrow going up does that mean it supports higher DP version , and since I play Valorant competitively I want the best performance and clarity I can get.s.thumb.jpg.fb0fcaf9438b6ca1266a6fe7bb0cbdc3.jpg

Its already running on spec, so i dont think running to buy better cable is really a good idea.
