Hello all,

I am currently looking to upgrade my cpu from a ryzen 5 2400g, to either a ryzen 5 5600x or a ryzen 7 3700x. Both are in my price range so that is not a problem and also both compatible with my motherboard. I am looking to pairing it with a 1660ti and 16gb of ram. My main usage for this cpu is to play video games (mainly competitive shooters fortnite and valorant). I also want to stream them too and currently when I try to stream it just lags my game too much because the 2400g is not the best. I want to keep this upgrade of a 3700x or 5600x for at least 2-3 years. What is everyone’s suggestions for getting the best frames to play at the competitive level, stream, and not have to worry about upgrading for some time.

Thank you.

5600X for sure, higher single core performance and better IPC over the 3700X even though it's got two less cores than the 3700X
