The Linustechtips Bench-Off Thread

Welcome to the Linustechtips Bench-Off thread. This thread is open to all Linustechtip members and was created to be a friendly competition. The information it provides will also be a great source of information for members and non-members alike. To participate in this Bench-Off thread please read and follow the rules below.

Bench-Off Rules:

  • Before filling out a benchmark form, please post a picture of your results in this thread.  The URL of your post will be needed in order to complete the benchmark form. If you are unsure on how to post a picture in this thread, please read the how-to in the bottom of this post.

  • This Bench-Off is for LTT members only. Not a member? Take a couple minutes to sign up and become a part of our community.

  • All benchmarks must be run with the in-game benchmark tool and using the same settings as shown in the benchmark form.

  • All sections off the benchmark form will need to be filled out before submission.

  • No cheating or manipulating data. Do not make any adjustments in your AMD or Nvidia control panel for your benefit.  I am asking members to be honest here..

  • You will have up to two submissions for each benchmark. An example could be you submit your 24/7 stable results, and then your system pushed to the limit. Either way, it’s up to you.

I currently have selected three games to benchmark. There will be submissions for 1080p and 1440p, the two most popular gaming resolutions today. When posting pictures of your results please do so like shown below. In the upper right hand corner of your post you will see your post number. Click on that number and copy and paste the URL into the benchmark form.

Tomb Raider

Metro Last Light

Bioshock Infinite

I recommend you to use the Windows snipping tool in order to take a snapshot of your Metro LL and Bioshock Infinite results. You can take a screenshot with Steam or MSI Afterburner/ Evga Precision for Tomb Raider. You can upload your results (pictures) using a service like – Photobucket, Imgr or Tinypic.

Once you fill out the benchmark form your results will automatically be uploaded and sorted. If you have any questions please PM me or post here in this thread. I will be adding new games as time goes on depending on how many people participate. This is still under construction, so please bear with me.

Good Luck

Been there and done that... I created the Valley benchmark thread on Anandtech.. I want some real gaming results, not just synthetics.
