Folio case or normal style case

Hi all

 

so after having a few cases from a few different brands I’m looking at getting a case I’ll be happy with long term, currently I’ve narrowed that down to Nomad.

 

I have a choice between a folio and non-folio but I’m not sure which to get exactly.

I don’t plan to store bank cards in the folio, I’m thinking of it more for protection purposes, I have the MagSafe moft wallet for cards.
 

my main gripe about the case however is the actual folio part strangely enough, would it get annoying to use overtime? Example I want to use satnav via Apple maps, I’d have to take it off, want to use the camera in portrait I have to hold it slightly differently, and probably the most minor issue is that for the first while (as it’s leather) it doesn’t sit flush with the case, think I’ll just put it on the front.

 

so I’m looking for thoughts from people who have had folio cases or actually use them daily, why do you use it or why don’t you?
