Guys,

I want to upgrade my home server a bit, or more like build a new one, but I also want to utilize LAG (Link Aggregation).

I am having a hard time figuring out what is the best switch I can get.  Looking for a good, quiet 16-24 port gigabit switch that has good LAG support and easy to setup.

I do not really care about routing, or many of the Layer 3 functions, just fast switching fabric and good LAG support (at minimum it should support 4 ports per team, but more would be better)

I will also need a good 4 port NIC for the home server to be able to team together.

I want to be able to stream movies to the multiple sources in the house (4-6 sources) without any hiccups and be future proof for streaming 4k video in the future.

I do not want to have to upgrade the switch.

Any suggestions for the NIC and switch?

Ah, yeah it seem not much choices in the NIC departamane if I want to go with a 4 port per card and the server being ITX will only have space for 1 card.  Might go mATX and be able to do 2 but I do not feel like I will need 8 ports teamed for my needs.

I am OK with cisco's OS commands, but I was hoping for something from netgear or dlink or trendnet with a simple web interface for the LAG setup.  Just not really sure if there is much of a difference between the different ones as long as it supports 8 ports per LAG group or more and has a fast switching fabric.
