My 15 year old son and I will be doing our first pc build soon. We're planning on an 11600k so we can muddle through with the integrated graphics until GPUs come back to earth. Does it make sense to fool around with overclocking the CPU right away?  Or is it better (or even important?) to wait until we have a GPU? We're looking to get something in the 3000 series eventually like a 3060ti or 3070.

We'd like to overclock just as a fun project for us to work on together.

Thanks!

Yeah why not.

It won't make the gpu any better, just try and see.
