There is a pretty high chance the answer is yes if you bought this board in 2019 or later, as most remaining new boards are likely leftovers from some of the later units.

Try the process of elimination.  Put it together without the update and if it works, great.  And then if it doesn't work, go ahead and do the update.  Or, you could do the update first without the test and then just go with the flow.

Take Care and Good Luck.

I honestly can't answer that question because I don't know what brand your using.  When it comes to the mobo, I use nothing but Asus.  Been an Asus user from the very beginning and that was a LONG time ago.

Look near the bios chip. There might be a stick there that has "F1" or F followed with another number. Your 9400F has been supported since "F12" so any number higher will mean you're good to go.

It appears to be a Gigabyte.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

No, again I went with Asus on the mobo.  I am getting an Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming, AMD Ryzen 7 3800x and Corsair Vengeance LPX 16Gb (2x8) DDR4 4000 (PC4-32000) C19.   Next month I will be able to get another package of the same ram to upgrade the system from 16 to 32 gigs of ram.  The board will support up to 128 gigs or ram but I can't justify spending the kind of money for something I would never use.
