Hello, i’m currently having trouble with removing my OS from an harddisk.

i installed my new OS on a SSD, but sometimes my pc boots into HDD because Windows is still on it, i don’t wan’t to format it because all of my data are there. Is there any way to remove just Windows from a disk?

Without nuking the drive as a whole I'm not aware of any way to do it.

What you can do is go into your system BIOS and remove the old drive from the HDD Boot Priority list. This will prevent the system from trying to use it on subsequent boots.

Remove the drive from boot queue. There's no way of removing just Windows. The boot record will remain even if you delete all files. Meaning that you boot into very broken Windows if the drive still is in boot queue. I highly recommend that you backup and format that drive as soon as possible.
