Does anyone know if there is an opensource project out there that run's on Linux that you can use to backup Office 365.

Not sure what you mean, the files are stored online. You only need a browser to access them.

Yes the files are stored online, but if you have a MIcrosoft (formally office 365) subscription they state in there terms they will do there best to make sure you always have availability but it is still down to the user to make a backup of there data. So seeing if there is a way of doing this via Linux for free via an opensource project.  Hope this makes more sense as to what i'm after.

Why not just save your documents as .docx files on your computer and then back them up using MegaSync?

Ryzen 1600x @4GHz

Asus GTX 1070 8GB @1900MHz

16 GB HyperX DDR4 @3000MHz

Asus Prime X370 Pro

Samsung 860 EVO 500GB

Noctua NH-U14S

Seasonic M12II 620W

+ four different mechanical drives.

I assume your just wanting to access your 365 Drive. If your on GNOME, you should be able to just sign into online Accounts in settings and have it popup as a drive.

If your not on GNOME or that doesn't work, you can take a look at https://github.com/abraunegg/onedrive

For a proprietary paid option that's more user friendly, you can also look at https://www.insynchq.com/
