its still better, maybe not a good performance to cost ratio but its still got better performance if one has the money and find those extra fps's worth it, and looking at this build with the i7 and such this didnt seem like a budget build.

Yeah, I'm not going for best cost/ performance ratio here. I just want a mid-high range streaming and gaming rig.

One 780 is more then enough and gaming headsets suck. It is better to get headphones and a mic separately. The only one I recommend is the Corsair Vengeance 2100 because it is wireless.

2 monitors is highly recommended for streaming, so I would say get 2 monitors.

PS: If you do not live by a micro center, staples will price match them. My brother got a 4770k from staples for $250.

I'm getting one 1080p monitor to start, and will later be upgrading to two 24" BenQ gaming monitors. As for the mic, I'm looking at the Yeti. Headphones are probably going to be either 7.1 tiamats or siberia v2's.

EDIT: Upon further research, those 2100's look hella dope. The only thing i'm concerned about is that the 2100's are virtual 7.1 surround sound, and the tiamats have 5 separate drivers in each ear cup. That intrigues me deeply.

I have a pair of megeladons and the virtual 7.1 surround annoys me. I always listen to spotify in 2.0 mode. The 7.1 distorts bass and vocals. I'm thinking that this is because the audio quality is lower than what I'm trying to listen to it at. The audio engine in the control pod of the megeladons doesn't do a good job of converting low quality music files into 7.1. I'm completley new to the whole audio quality thing, so if there's anything I should know, please tell me lol.

So heres a deal if I have a case (Cooler Master Strom Scout II), and I want to replace all my componets to a completly new case like Corsair Graphite 760T will there be any problems?

I cant imagine you're going to have any issues. From what I can tell, you should be fine. Don't take what I say to be fact though. I've haven't even built my own system yet. Wait until some veteran replies if you want a definite answer. Welcome to the forums btw.  :D

I'll be using this (the headset) for gaming as well as listening to music. Is there even an audio file that is benefited from being played in 7.1? And the speaker quality thing makes sense.

most of the surround headsets you can turn it off with a button, so on for games if you want(lowers quality no doubt) and off for music and anything else, in reality you get enough surround without it and the hit to sound quality is never really worth it :/

this should be in the build logs section

Not technically a build, as it hasn't been built yet. I'm planning and getting advice and information. If I'm wrong just say so. This is the first topic I've ever made, and this will only be my 13th post, so I obviously dont know what i'm doing here

If airflow is a huge concern get a 750D and do a custom watercooling loop...

You do know that the i7 4770k @ stock speeds is far more powerful then any GPU combo right?

As in it will not be a bottleneck @ stock speeds for years to come.
