Random rattling sounds from pc

Otikiri
Go to solution Solved by Otikiri,

So lately , my pc would randomly make rattling noise , the rattling is either "soft" and "slow" sounding or just full blown rattling like crazy. And when i move the pc around (moving it to the right or the left) a bit the rattling stops.

So is it caused by the case fans or from something else ?/

My specs are :

-ryzen 3600x

-winfast rtx 2060 classic

-16gb ram

-gigabyte p650b

-240gb ssd w 1tb hdd

My old one did as well, turned out to be a fan bearing that had had worn out over time. I first just pushed the center of the fan wings into the fan mount and it stopped for a time. I later replaced after it began rattle again.

Do you have an AIO, can also be the pump that makes noise if it's struggling to pull water. If the mounting position is incorrect.

But as others have said, check if your cables touch a fan. Before rushing out and buying a new fan.

Thanks for the info everyone , after digging around :

- fans are fine

And the cause was this piece of metal that's above the gpu hole. (Idk whats it called :)). It was loose so am tightening it .
