Budget (including currency): Would like to stay under $1500, but can go higher if needed. Nothing over $2000 would be cool

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  I am an artist who uses programs like ClipStudioPaint and the Adobe apps. I hope to stream at some point, and play games without having to put the graphics all the way down to low, with games like COD Cold War.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I currently use an intel 7600k, and I want to switch to amd.

I am a first time builder, so any suggestions on different parts from what I need, please feel free to say, but I do like corsair products.

The build I have now is a pre built, just for reference.

Questions I have:

  • Will I have problems switching from intel to amd? Will my storage devices be ok if i switch it over, or will they corrupt?
  • Will I have to buy another windows license? Or will my old one still be good?
  • I'm pretty sure I can build the pc, but as far as the start up i get confused. Basically what to do after the pc is built and I'm trying to start it up.
  • the only reason i have the 250gb ssd and the 2tb hard drive is because it has all my old stuff, and i believe the ssd is the boot drive. I think i could probably get rid of the hard drive, cause it has mostly games on it. But is there a way to just transfer the stuff on the hard drive to my sata ssd? I'm not sure it would work for the boot ssd, but then again idk.

I appreciate anyone who looks at this and helps me out. I was debating on just buying a pre-built, but after watching the video where they had Sarah build her own pc, and hearing her take in the end, it sealed the deal that I wanted to try to build a pc myself.

This is the build I want to make:

These are the parts that i need:

for your cpu cooler amazon has it for 10 dollars cheaper. I recommend you to get the corsair 4000X as it features almost the same specs and is 70 dollars cheaper (unless you really need the case specs) Although it is better to have a larger power supply, a 750 watt will suffice. It is 60 dollars cheaper than the 850 watt one. You will have to buy another windows license, and your storage devices will be fine. Don't get the 2060 because nvidia stopped making those and the prices will go higher. You should get a 3060 or a 3060 ti if you are lucky enough for about the same price on bestbuy. Don't buy a pre built unless you need a pc on the spot.

Thanks for the input! As far as the gpu goes, i only have the 2060 on there is because its the one i have now. Obviously i want a 30 series, but as you know they are impossible to get. i will probably get it hopefully later on.
