boot my computer will not boot

my computer will not boot when I have cpu power in but when I take the cpu 8 pin out it will want to boot.

What are your system specs? You may have a faulty PSU.

Depending on the processor, it can actually boot just fine but it will draw way more power through the ATX header than is recommended. I agree on the power supply being probably at fault here.

i have a AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, EVGA 1070 sc, corsair 16 cb ram, Corsair RM850´and the Corsair RM850 is  brand new

Just to meke sure. Are you sure you are using the correct 8-pin cable, and not a PCIe 8-pin? They shouldn't fit, but it IS possible to force it

i use the psu cable where it says cpu so i think then it is the right one

Yeah, that sounds right. Usually its two 4-pins clipped together

but it still will not boot
