Thanks so much for the help! So would I just use the same screws and stuff or do I need to buy new things? If so, where do you suggest I get them?

The new case should come with its own screws, so no need to buy anything new. And if you still manage to lose one or two screws, you could still go get some from the old case, as almost every case has the same size screws.

Budget (including currency): $200 CAD

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and work

Other details Extremely sorry this isn't exactly a build! I didn't know where to put this post and im new to the forums.

Hello. About a year ago I got a prebuilt pc (Its an acer nitro 50 i5 with a 1080 I know its bad but I didn't have the knowledge at the time). Now that I am more into computers, I want to build a PC. However, I do not have any PC money. My plan is to put all my components into a case so I can upgrade parts as I get older. If anyone has experience on how to properly remove components from a prebuild please tell me. Also if anyone can tell me what hardware (Screws, mounting racks, wires) I would need to fit my parts into my case it would be greatly appreciated. I will like my case and my pc so if anyone wants to help they have the info. Thank you!

with your budget you will have no luck with a 1080. You would normally need a 1000-2000 dollar budget for a 1080 but since there is a global chip shortage you will need a 3000-4000 dollar budget. 14GB is a weird amount of RAM so go 16gb.

As he stated above, he wont buy NEW components. He will just move the old ones from the Nitro PC to a new case, and then over time just upgrade one thing after another.

Now it wont really be hard to move everything to a new case, you just have to remember what cables go to certain things. Taking a picture of things before removing everything will help you if you ever need to look back to where things were plugged in.

One thing i can think of which will most likely make things harder - and its the motherboard.

IDK if it uses a custom form factor or if its a standard mATX/ATX format.

No problem! Also note NZXT has an RGB version of that case. Another thing you might want to do is upgrade your PSU but i couldn't fit that in your budget with the RGB added.

Thanks! If its easy, please link the RGB case and the PSU. I can probably convince my parents to go a bit over budget.
