Oh okay.
I really wanna get my hands on an RTX 2060 or 2070 super.

And you said it looks unbalanced. Is it bad performance wise? Or are you speaking money terms?

It's bad performance wise. You have an entry level graphics card with a high end CPU. You spent $110 on high end looking RAM when you could spend $30-40 on the GPU instead, etc.

Honestly if possible I'd try to upgrade straight to a 6700 XT/3060 Ti when you can.

Hello I recently built myself a new gaming rig. The specs are listed down below in the picture. Before I built this computer I was using a ASUS Gaming Laptop with an i7-9750h and a GTX 1650.

After building my new rig, I noticed that games run really similar to my old laptop. I thought buying a heftier GPU would change this but I guess not.

If anyone could give me any pointers as to what to upgrade, change, etc. It would be very appreciated.

The 5500XT is barely faster than the 1650. This rig looks really unbalanced. Overpriced cooler, overpriced SSD, board, RAM, etc.

Your next best upgrades are probably a new GPU and PSU. But, as you may know, there's kinda a shortage rn.

Replace H510 with P360a, more airflow https://www.amazon.com/Phanteks-PH-EC360ATG_DBK01-Ultra-fine-Performance-Digital-RGB/dp/B08KKF38XV/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=p360a&qid=1617750777&sr=8-1

Instead of a 120 rad I would get a NH D-15, I know water cooling is nice, but the D15 costs around the same amount and performs like a 240 rad.

Motherboard is overpriced for a CPU that doesn’t even support overclocking https://pcpartpicker.com/product/kktKHx/msi-b460m-pro-vdh-wifi-micro-atx-lga1200-motherboard-b460m-pro-vdh-wifi

I would upgrade power supply, the one you selected isn’t that good https://pcpartpicker.com/product/CVkD4D/corsair-power-supply-cx750m (The 750 watt was $5 more than 650 watt)

He already built it.... there's no need to change case.

It's a locked CPU. He really doesn't need an NHD15.

Why a B460 board? B560/Z490 actually has performance benefits over B460, and I doubt that board would run a 10700 anyway, plus he's already bought the board.

Why would you get a CX750M (which continues to be a double forward unit like the BR, although it's DC-DC) when you can get a Focus based HCG Gold 650W for $79....

Oh, it’s been a long day. So many people have come here with pcpartpicker lists after the video dropped this afternoon with build reccomendations that I assumed this was one. Sorry

Awesome, that's what i needed to hear. Ill keep any eye out for restocks, or see if I can get an RTX card for a reasonable price. I appreciate your help, Thanks.

Got some tips for you (I've bought around 10 cards in the last 3 months, and no, I am not a scalper, they were for friends.)

  • ZOTAC store is easiest in the USA. I live in Canada, but this is what I've heard from friends. It's really heavily botted.
  • AMD restocks Thursdays at 8:30am-9:30am PT. Also heavily botted.
  • Best Buy is the only place to have MSRP RTX 3000 series online.
  • You're going to want to join a discord server that'll give you stock alerts. All of mine are Canada only so I don't have recommendations.
