Hello! I got a gaming pc with Ryzen 7 2700X/ MSI RTX 2060 Gaming Z 6GB and I am doing live streams on Twitch,on a 4.5-5 mbps upload speed.
Current settings are: NVENC(new)/2800 bitrate/1280x720p at 30 fps using Lanczos.

Quality isn't very good obviously for my upload speed.

My questions are:

Is there any way to make fast motion games look good with the upload speed I got right now??

My ping in game goes from 58(in BFV) to 68-92 for like 3 to 4 seconds. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Any help would be really good. I love interacting with people and I want to provide some decent quality streams.

Thanks,in advance!

If you're using wifi try using ethernet instead. That should make your connection more stable if not faster.

Other than that, apart from playing around with the codecs and resolution settings in OBS, there probably isn't tons you can do if the network bandwidth is your bottleneck.

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

I wouldn't say streaming is primary cause of your ping issues. It would be constant if there would be connection (streaming is constant upload, gaming is download and upload). Its more likely that you have some other software updating something in background to cause ping spikes.

As for streaming quality, upping fps and bitrate are really only options. And upping resolution. If you are used to watching content at 1080p, seeing content in 720p will feel bad quality overall.
