I'd suggest a B550 motherboard. MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk or Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus are reasonably priced.

You will be able to use the memory. No idea what speed and timings you will be able to achieve. But unless you end up around 2133, it won't really matter.

so i would have to manually set the rams to their speeds?, btw forgot to mention im gonna use only 2x8Gb sticks, the other 2 will stay in my old setup, is that ok?

You might have to manually adjust memory speed and timings, but not necessarily.

Splitting the 4x set into two 2x sets is fine.

I personally prefer single rail others prefer multi rail. Don't worry about it.

Both of the psu units listed are good. Do you have access to Seasonic Focus GX-750, PX-750 or Corsair RX750X. If so what is the pricing like compared to the units listed in the OP?

How much storage do you need?

What Seasonics are available?

Keep in mind that something like a 2x RAID 1 array is not backup. It does provide protection against a single drive failure. It does not protect against a viral infection, ransomware or user error.

If you want a RAID 1 array look at Seagate IronWolf or WD Red hdd.
