Hey all. I’m having this weird issue where when my graphics card is installed (msi gtx 970) It seems like it causing problems with the boot process.

Like static lines on the screen, puts me in boot loop “ windows couldn’t load correctly” etc.

weird thing is that I got it to work yesterday- no screen lines, played Hunt: Showdown(makers of crysis) for 5 hours and had no graphic issues/overheating whatsoever. I took the card apart a few days ago and visually inspected it and saw no blown fuses or burn spots, slapped on some arctic thermal paste and reinstalled.

Went and downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia’s website which did not help at all.

Worth mentioning the PC boots completely fine when the 970 is not in the computer.

Is the card toast? Seems strange that it would work perfectly fine sometimes but not others. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try putting it in another computer and seeing how it behaves? If you get a similar result there's not much you can do for it.
