Sony shutter release without using the 'multi usb' port

I've got the A6600 and I'm trying to find a way to do remote shutter without using the micro usb port. Does anyone know if its possible to use the mic/headphone jack? I'm using a mounted power bank for additional power but I don't quite want to go full dummy battery. I've thought about getting a cheap usb splitter, but I'm not sure I'll have much success with it.

the receiver uses the multi port. I'm looking for a setup I can put on my camera for video, ideally one of these but again the same problem with the multi port
