Old Corsair AX750 : retire or use?

Quartz11

I’m building a new system for myself now, and as my new power supply arrived (still sitting in its Amazon shipping box), I remembered that I still have a trusty old Corsair AX750 from around 2011.  It was used in a system with a single GPU and a stock i5 2500 until a year ago when I upgraded the whole thing for my partner.  Now it’s sitting in a temporary case along with all the rest of the parts from that build until I decide what to do with them.

Would you say it’s fine to just use it for my new build for another few years?  Or better to use a brand new PSU?

Corsair are known to take pride in their power supplies, only brand I buy for PSU's. Im pretty sure they dish out the ten year warranty on a lot of them too so they obviously expect them to last. 11 years is a stretch though, and the psu is the last thing you wanna take a chance on as it puts the whole system at risk. Maybe keep it for a backup or testing.

Actually, thinking back it’s 2 years since it was swapped out (time flies...) and 10 since it was purchased.  So in use for 8 years.

Best to retire it and use the new one.

Keep the old one as a spare.
