Budget (including currency): 300 dollars 1200 RSA

Country: S

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing and Playing Fortnite/Minecraft

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

So I have a Hp microtower G2 MT 290 that I bought off amazon for about 600 $. Specs: Core i7 8th gen 8700 12 gb ram HDD with a 60 hz monitor lincs mb motherboard .I want to upgrade it and make it a gaming pc with SSD GPu (GTX 1050 ti low profile) with a new case. It has a Pcie 1 Pcie 4 Pcie 16. Is it worth upgrading or just sticking with a Hp pavillion laptop specs: Core i5 8th gen gtx 1050 8 gb ram. Also will I needd to buy a new psu or will the hp provided psu work with a 75 watt gpu? Wont be Upgrading monitor soon.

Did you just buy it? If so return it and get a better prebuilt. it will not be much better than your current laptop for games so don't get this as that system is hard to upgrade and you cannot case swap it due to non standard size components (for normal desktops).

So cancel the order and get something different as it is not a pc meant to be upgraded and it's made so it is very hard to do so and costly (going to spend more for a worse system than if you just bought a decent one in the first place). That and it's old.
