update as of 24th of August 2021, i tried plugging in the PS5 without the transformer directly to the wall and it worked fine, i have 220V from the wall and the PS5 is the CFI1000A edition as shown above in the images

Hello! Hopefully this topic is still a active. Could you please provide a last update on your situation. I’m basically in the same boat as you were when you got the ps5. 🙂

Hello

im currently in Japan and im thinking of buying a used PS5

will it work bavk in my country??? (im from cyprus where the socket comes on 220-240v and on 50hz.)

 

whats your latest update on your issue?
