Hi, I recently bought a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X CPU for my new gaming computer, however, after running as few tests, I have found that my performance is quite a bit less then other 5950Xes. Only four of my CPU cores are able to reach the 4.9GHz boost clock, with the lowest sitting at 4.75GHz.847084861_Screenshot2021-03-25161347.png.89a2da2d55857ab430269b4aba26b6bd.png

Then, I ran Cinebench R23, and I was only about to get a single core score of 1573 as opposed to 1684, and a multi core score of 24182 as opposed to 28782. I have a 360mm Corsair iCue cooler, and a Asus Crosshair VIII Hero motherboard, and I'm not sure what could be causing these problems, does anyone know what might be causing them? Many thanks

Where do you have these numbers from? They could run PBO or AutoOC to get these higher numbers.

Also, what RAM are you running?

It's completely normal that not all of your cores will reach 4.9GHz at the same time, that's expected behavior. That's because of the power target it has to hit. Otherwise your temps and power consumption would skyrocket.

(Just throwing it in there because i have to say it every time i read 5950X and gaming PC, but a 5950X for a "gaming PC" is a huge waste of money, but that's not the topic here...)

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I get about the same scores then you and am pretty unhappy, I have PBO turned on, LLC on Level 4 and Power Limit set to 130%.

When I run single core R23 I can see my clock fluctuating between 3,6 and 5,1GHz on the Core utilized by Cinebench.

My CPU has a full cover waterblock with liquid metal on it and I don't know how to get my boost clock more stable.

In Multi Core R23 I have 4,35GHz on all cores. Highest Temps are about 62°C.

Anyone an idea how to improve especially the single core boost clocks?
