When do you plan on buying this? There is a global graphics card shortage atm.

also what country are you in?

This looks like a reasonable setup for $800ish. A GPU is not realistic for $800 at mo. Depending on what Resolution you play at I would have recommended a 3060 for 1080, a 3070 for 1440p but these would cost $1k plus in todays money. Even at MSRP they would push the budget to $1150 - $1300 but you aren't going to play AAA titles for much less than this.

Thing is that this list isn’t helpful, due too the lack of the GPU.

R5 3600 is not worth it compared to the i5 10400/10400f when it is at $220. Also, if they didn’t have a gpu they would need to buy a cheap one for now.

You can't build a AAA capable gaming rig today for $800, it's impossible when 1060s are going for $500. If you can do it feel free to show us how..

Well you can’t, but showing a $800 GPU less build isn’t going to help.

with current market I advice you to buy a prebuilt unless you get a good GPU deal somewhere...

Just so ya know both those games run fine even on a FX CPU so you could even buy a i3 and spend the vast majority on the graphics card... 😐

You would need a Z490 board or a '500' series chipset though. If you run the 10400/F on a B460 chipset then you are losing performance. The R5 3600 will be faster in that situation. So you would have to look at the overall cost, not just the cpu cost.

Did they say they were overlclocking? If so, you are probably right.

The CPU is literally 70 dollars cheaper, there has to be a good bit of justification to spend that much more.

What I mean is there is a difference in gaming performance when using 2666MHz ram vs 3200MHz ram with the 10400F. To run the ram at 3200 speed you would need a Z490 board or a 500 series board.

Literally less than 5%, but yes it exists.
