So if you put the blank drive in the copy from slow, your now putting a blank image on your hdd, basically wiping it.

THe one you linked with usb c that was smaller woulnd't work. That cloning box would work.

do you mean that if you put in 2 drives into a 'enclose' and 1 of them is empty then it'll auto-wipe?

or do you actually need to press button or do something for it to wipe?

OOPS typo. If you but the drives in the wrong spots, you clone in the wrong direction, basically wiping the drive with the data you care about.

 

Normally those boxes require you to put the drives in then press a button.
