rtx 2080 super watercooled with a kraken g12 and a rog strix lc 240

thermal throttling never happened before reaching 80°C while stock cooling

instead of thermal paste it has a graphite thermal pad, it struggles a bit to reach 70°C, but when it reaches 65°C thermal throttling is constant

it has active vrm cooling

Any idea how to solve it?

btw, when I try using thermal paste (No matter if it was applied correctly)
cooling performance is worse

Even if it was the case, how would you explain thermal throttling starting at temps low as 61-62?

If you DID change the thermal limit temperature, then it will still throttle the card.

You are setting an artificial thermal limit temperature.

If you were to set it to... 40*C, as soon as the GPU hits 39 / 40 *C, it will throttle itself, and GPU-Z will show the "Therm" Performance Cap reason.
