Howdy! I am a 16 year old who wants to build my first ever gaming PC. I have saved up some money from work and now think I can tackle the challenge. I've been watching LTT for a year or two and have a basic understanding of what should go in to a PC, but looking through the countless part selections is a bit overwhelming. My budget for this build is about 1500$ and I don't expect anything crazy. I just want to be able to play some casual games (anything from Mine craft to Borderlands) There is one major requirement however, since my dad works for Intel he doesn't want me to get an AMD based processor. I would prefer to stay around the budget give or take like 150$.

Thanks for your time

Good luck getting a GPU. For this price range, a 3070 would fit in pretty darn well. the problem: how will you get a 3070? If you're 16, you probably don't have the time or resources to camp outside a micro center to try to get one, if you even live near one. If you need to game now, you're best bet is to go on ebay and get either a 1070 and run that for a while, or get something like an r9 290 and use it as a stopgap card. There's also the option of doing those discord bots to get notified if something comes in stock, but that would take a bit of time and effort to get to work right.
