If you want, I've attached a parts list to this message to give you an idea. Exchange rate makes this roughly 535 Euro but you could (and should) definitely buy items that are a better value in Latvia. Definitely stick to either a 9100F, 10100F or 3200G and either a 1650 (super if its available), 5500XT or 1050ti. Using those you should get a pretty decent gaming experience and it should be fairly responsive in video creation, so long as it's not in 4K.

Hello! I'm from Latvia our currency is EUR. I'm gonna use this system for school work until I get a better GPU. Planing to use it for gaming and video creation. Should I go intel or stick to AMD?

Total cost is 539.16 Eur. And my budget is around 500-550 Eur.

  1. CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (209.99)
  2. MB - Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 (69.00)
  3. HyperX Fury Black 8Gb 3200Mhz Cl16 kit of 2 (46.99)
  4. GPU - MSI GT 710 2Gb (50.00)
  5. SSD - WD Blue 500gb (57.00)
  6. PSU - Be Quiet System Power 9 600W 80+ Bronz (66.99)
  7. Case - DeepCool Matrexx 50 (38.99)

if a 10400 +b560 board is cheaper than the ryzen 5+ b450 + gt710, go for intel. the performance is the same.

Definitely agree. As much as I like AMD, Intel lowered their prices and they're actually a compelling buy, seeing if you can find one. Better yet, maybe look on the used market, there's some great deals if you know where to look.

Also I recommend going cheaper on the power supply unless you really want a quiet one, going for a cheaper cpu, maybe the 3200G or 10100F and switching the GT 710 out for a 1650 super or 1050ti. Either of those cards will be much, much better than a 710 in terms of gaming and video creation

The 710 is a temporary solution down the round I think of getting the 1660

After currency conversion they are a similar price in the UK, How much would a i3-10100f cost in your country. The savings could pay for your GTX 1650 super or 1660.

The CPU can be upgraded with a used I5 or i7 to give the PC a few more years life span when the i3 can't cope anymore

Also if the motherboard only has two ram slots consider buying a single stick of 8GB you'll need to increase to 16GB in the coming years, 8GB is good now but probably not in 3 to 5 years.

I have been using an Aerocool 700W in mine an the children's PCs since xmas with no issues and paid almost half of what that Be Quite is costing you.

How many fans are pre installed in the case, finding some thing that has a minimum of 2 intake and 1 exhaust can save 10-20 in fan costs.
