If you go with a new mobo it opens up the possibility of intel.  Intel tends to be more limited as to what cpu will fit what mobo thigh so if the mobo wants to be reused it may need to be thought of more.  The 2200g means you won’t need a gpu for awhile.  Staying away from 3xx  or A series AMD motherboards should be more or less enough.  A series tends to have serious VRM limitations, and the 3xx stuff is quite old by now. VRM is the bit on the board that determines how powerful a cpu you can use. It’s also the most expensive part which is why a lot of A series board don’t have much of it.  The b550 spec has pretty high minimums for VRM and tends to have newer ports on the back which kills two birds.  It’s also why it tends to be higher priced.  It might do to have more VRM than you need for the 2200g because you would then be able to upgrade the processor without having to change the motherboard.  The additional memory is mostly for convenience.

Here on this site i found these motherboards ( https://www.multicom.me/racunari-i-oprema/maticne-ploce/svi.html ) if you want take a look and tell me what is good motherboard for 2nd or 3rd gen ryzen cpus.

All I’m seeing is a320 boards so far, none of which you want anything to do with. There appear to be many pages though.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
