Hello,

Finally got my new pc up and running and it consists of:

 ASUS TUF Z490 Plus(wifi)

32 GB TridentZ 3000hz

MSI 6800XT Gaming X Trio

i7-10700k

My Display is a 65" Sony 4k 120hz TV and I'm Using the 4k recommended HDMI cord

Nothing has been overclocked or altered other than XMP and Resizable Bar has been activated.

I'm trying to play Borderlands 3 @ 4k max setting and all the benchmark video seem to show I should be getting just under 60fps with dips to the mid 30's.

While on the ship standing still I'm averaging 29fps and moving it drops to 23 very choppy and laggy. I plan to gather some data later this evening by running bench marks and comparing the scores of equivalent rigs. wanted to see if any one else is having the issue as well.

Tried Mass effect Andromeda and it was about 50 fps and still very choppy and laggy. 1440p seems to be work pretty smooth.

The only other issue I've had is while playing cyberpunk2077 on 4k it crashes the whole computer and I have to do a hard shutdown because the fans run at max after it occurs. I figured its just the game still being unstable a broken but now I'm wondering if its the card itself.

I am using Adrenaline2020 software and I've seen a lot of people talking smack about it, also wonder if that is a factor too(bad drivers). Perhaps delete Adrenaline2020 and reinstall the driver manually?

Let me you what y'all think

What is the model of Sony TV that you are playing on?

I'm inclined to believe that your expectations of your setup might be a tad too ambitious. Try dialling back some gfx settings and see what performance is like.

If you must game in 4K, you'll have to choose between eye-candy and good performance. You can't have it both ways.

I figured it out I had to turns down the resolution scaling to fix fps and I forgot to turn my TV to graphics mode now I'm getting just under 70fps smooth 4k Badass. Now I'm having a black screen crash when I play any game at 4k. Thermals are great. 1440p seems stable but haven't played long enough to call it stable.
