I'm building a socket 478 system, top end parts lots of over clocking. Its retro gaming pc. I play a lot of old games that do not like modern PCS.

Anyway The only 120mm fans I have do not look the part. They are too modern looking.

Since the system will be water cooled and with far more rad space then needed I'll be able to use silent fans. 20dba or lower would be nice.

No RGB or other modern looking fans. Simple black, clear with LEDs or transparent UV colored with LEDs.

Is there even anything modern that would fit the build worth looking into ? Last i looked clear led fans were not a thing and the only new ones were cheap stuff imported from china.

Thanks for any advice.

If you want something no so "modern" have you considered Noctua fans? They come in now multiple different variants by community feedback.

Check those out. You're looking for something without RGB and these come with none. Additionally, are one of the best if not the best in the market for case fans. Certainly around give or take $20 USD per fan. But, you're getting what you paid for certainly.

Thanks for the tips. But both those fans don't look right.

Fans in 2004 didn't have groves, hallow parts or rubber pices on the edges. Out of the two the Phanteks looks more the part.

I may just get some NOS fans from the looks.

Delta has some pretty classic fans. They can be loud, but they are the exact asthetic.

Do you have a window in this, or are you putting solid side panels on it.

Get Molex to fan adapters, throw deltas in it, and hope it doesn't melt down anyway.

Is it a Pentium D? I had one of those, it was awesome in the winter time, I used it to heat the house.
