Who cares if it has Teapo caps?

How long have you had it?

There are three major factors that impact the life of a PSU:

Heat

Load

The quality of your electricity

If you keep your PSU's fan cleaned off, keep the PSU dusted out, and don't leave your PC in a small closet or whereever that gets super hot, then it will last longer.

Running a 900w PSU with a 850w load in a mining rig will cause it to degrade more over time, it also increases the specific heat on some components.

And if you have garbage quality electricity, then it won't last long. A UPS could help in this department.

I have a spare 550w PSU that I trust. It is so old, it only has 2 SATA power connectors on it, and no PCIE connectors. It's 10 years old? But it always was cleaned out, and never run in a hot environment, so... I'd toss it in a low power PC in a pinch.

They're talking about the heat your PSU generates, not your components.

i saw some bad things said about teapo caps

Hmm... Someone is trying to misinform you.

I'd say if you have not had the PSU for more than 7 years (which is impossible because the Vero L2 is a relatively new unit) I'd not rush to replace it.
