Fans for GPU?

would either of these be good for my 3070 vision oc GPU?  

And can I daisy chain them to the GPU's fan header somehow?because I don't think I have any free headers on my mobo left...

 

 

Honestly the fans of the vision oc are  incredibly weak, basically only cool the card properly at 100% which is about twice as loud as an old and rusty PS3 with no thermal paste .

you could try using a fan hub to get more cooling potential per port

Tbh,  I don't understand fan hubs... where do they get power and how you control them? 

 

And are you sure it doesn't work,  I thought GPU fans are PWM (though obviously I'm not sure haha)

fan hubs draw power via molex or SATA and then just use the PWM port for the signaling control. are you looking to replace the GPU fans?

Ok, I see. Though as said,  I don't really have a spare PWM header and I'd need these fans to be controlled by the GPU's temperature, ideally.

Yes!

 

Would be perfect to just use whatever headers are on the GPU, it has 3 fans and I'll replace it probably with 3 90mm fans (if those are the right type)

 

Mounting should hopefully be not a huge issue,  it's already decided I'll just zip ties !

okay, that's fair for the zip ties. the PWM is capable of controlling more than one fan. you can use a splitter for two fans nearby that will have the same curve. and then use the newly found PWM port to control more fans.

Another problem with this is I really have not much space to work and also it would be preferable the gpu fans get controlled separately. 

 

The good news is I figured out there are vga fan adapter splitters that would work - I only need two headers as far I know,  I would need to open it up to be sure but it's likely a 2x vga fan splitter would work. 

 

The other problem they don't seem to be available in Europe or rather with exorbitant shipping costs... but if I don't find anything else I'll probably have to bite that bullet..
