Yes, if you have some sort of hard-drive light on your front panel and it isn't blinking, then it is fine to shutdown. If you don't, it is probably safe to shut down. If you do have one and it is blinking, then disconnect the internet and wait for it to stop. (If you have any sort of cloud sync app going, it could be reading and writing to disk, which you do not want to interrupt.

 

If it fails to startup, then clear the CMOS by pulling then putting back in the CMOS battery. You may have really lost the Silicon Lottery and your Ryzen Master settings (for what it should aim at in it's auto-OC) could have been too much.

Unless I say I am speaking from experience or can confirm my expertise, assume it is an educated guess.

Also have a Alienware Alpha R1: i3-4170T, GTX 860M (≈ a 750 Ti). 2x4GB DDR3L-1600, Crucial MX500

Yeah I think I’m just going to avoid the auto overclock now as I powered it off then back on and it’s atleast working now
