PCI-E gen4 with gen 3 riser GPU

Hi guys

Assembling my build and realized I’m using a gen 3 riser on a gen 4 mobo and graphics card. I know the trick is to go in the bios and change to gen3 and it won’t affect much the gaming performance.

But I was wondering will it impact my gen4 ssd?

I am using a x570 mobo with with a ryzen 5800x and a 6800xt gpu. My ssd is a sabrent rocket 1tb.

No. Changing the x16 slot to PCIe 3.0 will not affect the M.2 slot - they are different slots.

I can't answer that, sorry. Different cards, risers, and motherboards behave differently.
