Hi

I have just installed my new xerox 6510 dni colour laser printer. It has wifi and I can print fine from a word document or a pdf on my hard drive etc. It will print off my phone with mopria as well.

What it won`t do is print anything from a web page or any print link of any kind.

My old Epson inkjet had no issues with this (it was annoying for other reasons ).

When I go to click the print icon in the browser it opens a print dialogue box which shows the correct printer and everything. So I click print once I checked the paper size etc. Nothing happens.

When i print from the local drive it is the same except it will open the print queue and print fine once I hit the print button.

I have the latest drivers and I am using windows 10.

I am thinking it might be a chrome setting or something ??

Help appreciated.

Ollie

There’s apparently a thing with a new win10 build and some printers doing some things.  Might want to confirm that isn’t what you ran into first.  The only solution for that one is find a different way to print for the duration and it sounds like it’s a trivial issue for you that has already been dealt with.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I have tried to do that and it works if i save the thing I want to print either by "save as" or print to pdf.

However, I could always just click the print icon before and it always worked, I don`t think I should be different with this new printer, there must be an explanation.

Basically if the file is on my local drive it works but otherwise nothing happens.

Interesting you say it could be a windows 10 thing, is it after a certain update?

The matter is somewhat trivial but it does not make it any less annoying, because it is our family printer it just needs to print when you click the print button, for my wife`s work stuff and the kids school stuff too.

Thanks

I’m not familiar though it has bit some others here. There is extensive documentation and a few threads.  it appears to be a combination of one or two particular windows build and a few types of printers
