Minecraft Server Poor Performance

My friends have been using (renting) minecraft servers

I need to show them the power of the PC master-race

 

I have an i7 6700 (& RTX 2070)

My PC has really low usage on all games (ex. Cyberpunk) 30 - 70 % CPU and GPU (My temps are below than 80oC)

 

The lag on the server is unbearable (rubber-banding, no mining)

How do i get better usage and less lag?

How much RAM is in the server and what type of storage is MC running on? HDD or SSD etc.

Get a proper server hosting service. Either host it on your own hardware or use AWS, Azure, etc. Anything free (that isn't your own hardware) will not give good performance.

Thats my question, I have my PC and they are using bad stuff

I want to use my PC for entertainment instead of Folding @ home

Your post does not make this clear at all.

 

 

Are you running a Paper server? You should be if you aren't. What is your internet connection like?

Not sure what you mean by this. You just download the jar and run it, not any harder than a vanilla Mojang one.

Unless you want a server that is only up when you are on the game wouldnt you want a dedicated PC to show them the master races capabilities?

I do not know all of the terminology to do with servers (what is a paper server)

I'm guessing your internet connection might be struggling. You could have poor upload speed due to it being a residential connection or because someone else in your house is consuming the upload. DSLReports has a pretty good speedtest feature that will give your internet connection a letter grade. If your desktop/server is running over a WiFi connection that could also introduce unwanted latency as well.
