Can't type Square left bracket

I've sorted out the problem. It must've been conflicting with something that was on my other HDD...removing the HDD solved the problem but thanks anyway!

So I can't type "[" for some reason without copy and pasting it...I've tried using a different keyboard and even the on screen keyboard but nothing seems to work. When I "Shift+[" then the "{" still works. Please I need help with this because it is driving me insane!

There was a problem a couple years ago that sounded similar but with @. Have you tried changing the language from English US to English UK?
