MSI Afterburner

I am trying to learn how to use afterburner but i don't understand what each item does for example core clock ? memory clock ? core voltage fan i understand i am trying to turn the watts down on my VII  my set up is as follows

i9

32GB ddr3200

250GB MVNEx4

1TB SSD 

4TB games drive

850EVGA psu

VII but using 250 watts need to get this down and the heat it's at 79c

Any help would be greatly appreciated

So it's a little bit hard to explain what core and memory clock mean, as well as the other things you said, so I would recommend you to hover your mouse over all of them and just read. It's well explained and I think you will understand it. Regrading your problem with overheating, I would suggest lowering the "Power Limit (%)" to 90% or so (you need to experiment until satisfied) and up the "Fan Speed (%)" to whatever you want, like with the last one.
